Customer Relation Management – CRM Manager (Hong Kong)

Job Description

If motivating and collaborating with textile supply chain to make systemic progress in the journey of supply chain chemical integrity and sustainability sounds intriguing, then this role may be for you.
This position is for individual who are excited to present sustainability solution to decision makers of companies, support customer along the phase of implementing bluesign system, motivating customer to improve further regardless of their achievement level in the sustainability journey.
The task also includes support activities of promoting value of bluesign system and services to bigger audience through public speeches, media and events.

Major Responsibilities

  • Customer relationship management
    • Service and support for existing customers
    • Customer training
    • Coordinating customer related activities
  • Supporting the regional CRM Director in development of the local market in line with the company strategy and individual budget tasks
  • Acquiring new customers and follow-up on inquiries and quotations
  • Promoting Bluesign and the bluesign® SYSTEM at trade shows, conferences, presentations, etc.
  • Supporting communications in the local market
  • Supporting the Technical Service team during screening/audit preparation, on-site visits, and implementation of the bluesign® SYSTEM

Qualifications

  • Education background in textile or chemical engineering
  • >10 years professional experience in the textile value chain
  • Sales or customer relation management experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively
  • Affinity to sustainability
  • Willingness to learn
  • High communication and negotiating skills
  • Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English language, both written and spoken
  • Experience and respect working across different countries, cultures and languages

Major Responsibilities

  • Be the expert for production processes in the textile industry
  • Be the expert for sustainability and EHS aspects in the textile industry
  • Contribute to the development of the bluesign® CRITERIA
  • Give expert advice and support to our system partners
  • Conduct external and internal trainings and webinars
  • Develop and maintain training and knowledge documents
  • Be the subject matter expert (SME) to development e-learnings with our training manager
  • Develop new services to raise the value of the bluesign® SYSTEM and the bluesign® ACADEMY
  • Networking with relevant stakeholders from associations, NGOs, academia

Ideal Profile

  • Technical degree, textile related (e.g. Msc textile engineer, mechanical engineer)
  • Proven experience (ideally > 10 years) in the field of textile manufacturing
  • Having expert knowledge in the area EHS (Environment, Health and Safety)
  • Having in depth knowledge of impacts caused by the textile (e.g. Carbon/water/chemical footprint, air/water emission)
  • Being well connected with relevant industry organizations (e.g. Transformers foundation, Textile Exchange, AFIRM)
  • Having a good understanding of the sustainability label landscape
  • Having profound knowledge of regulatory requirements related to chemicals in the textile industry (e.g. REACh, POPs, Prop 65 regulation)
  • Being passionate about sustainable development and education
  • Being able to study new subjects in the quickly developing field of sustainability and extract key messages
  • Having experience in technical writing

  • Conscientious and organized
  • Ability to drive things forward and motivate others
  • Open-minded
  • Being able to convert complex technical knowledge into appealing trainings/presentations without loss of information
  • Good interpersonal and intercultural skills
  • Team worker with proven ability to work independently
  • Very good command of written and verbal communication in English (German or any other language is a plus)
