Auditor – manufacturer textile/accessory (f/m)

 

Job Description

Our auditors conduct company assessments with regards to environmental, occupational health and product stewardship. The auditor plans, prepares and carries out audits at textile/accessory manufacturers. The findings are documented in comprehensive and consultative audit reports which evaluate the compli- ance of the audited company with the requirementsof the bluesign® CRITERIA. Agreed corrective measures are followed-up and the progress is documented. This job gives an opportunity to contribute to a safer and more sustainable textile supply chain.

 

Major Responsibilities

  • Perform audit on site
  • Prepare extensive evaluations and audit reports in English
  • Follow-up of agreed improvements and corrective measures, as well as documentation of the progress
  • Provide support for chemical product assessment

 

Ideal Profile

  • Degree in Textile Engineering or related field
  • At least 3-5 years of professional experience in relevant industries
  • Profound knowledge in the field of environment, occupational health and consumer safety
  • Profound knowledge of textile/accessory manufacturing processes
  • Good knowledge of the textile supply chain
  • Auditing experience (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OSHAS 18001)
  • Willingness to travel

Chemical Company Assessor (f/m)

 

Job Description

As a Bluesign Chemical Process Expert, you will have the unique opportunity to improve sustainability in the world of textiles, fashion, and apparel. You evaluate and assist chemical companies around the world along their sustainability journey.

The journey for an organization begins with a company assessment regarding environmental and occupational health and the organization’s product stewardship management. Detail orientation and analytical skills play a key for a comprehensive evaluation and gap analysis following the bluesign® CRITERIA requirements. Through the findings of the gap analysis, you will work together with the organization’s management teams in the development of a roadmap. The focus is in reducing negative environmental impacts and increasing resource productivity through the implementation of Best Available Techniques to ensure the organization closes its gaps and reaches its sustainability goals.

You will be a key player in nurturing customer relationships throughout a system partner’s experience.

 

Major Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental/OH&S and product stewardship assessments in chemical companies
  • Identify risk areas or regulatory compliance issues
  • Prepare detailed evaluation and assessment reports in English
  • Draft and present findings including company rating to management teams
  • Create roadmaps and action plans with management teams with the goals of improving efficiency and reducing organizations negative environmental impacts
  • Consult on roadmap implementation and provide formal performance and feedback evaluations

 

Qualifications

  • Educational background in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or related science
  • Professional experience in relevant chemical industries
  • Technical experience in the field of environment, occupational health and consumer safety
  • Technical experience in product stewardship, classification, and labelling of chemical products
  • In depth knowledge of the chemical supply chain
  • Auditing experience (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OSHAS 18001) as an advantage
  • Willingness to travel (30 - 40%)

Job Description

If motivating and collaborating with textile supply chain to make systemic progress in the journey of supply chain chemical integrity and sustainability sounds intriguing, then this role may be for you.

This position is for individual who are excited to present sustainability solution to decision makers of companies in Guangdong and Hong Kong, support customer along the phase of implementing bluesign system, motivating customer to improve further regardless of their achievement level in the sustainability journey.

The task also includes support activities of promoting value of bluesign system and services to bigger audience through public speeches, medias and events.

  • Customer Relationship Management: Service and Support existing customers, train customers, coordinate customer related activities
  • Support regional CRM Manager, and HQ in development of the local market in line with company strategy plans and individual budget tasks
  • Acquire new customers and follow-up of inquiries and quotations
  • Promote Bluesign on trade shows, conferences, presentations, …
  • Support communication in the local market
  • Support the Technical Service team during screening/audit preparation, on-site visits and implementation of the bluesign® SYSTEM

 

Qualifications

  • Extensive CRM and/sales experiences
  • Minimum 10 years working experience
  • Professional experience in the textile industry or textile chemical is preferred
  • Experience in environmental management systems is advantageous
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Result- and service-oriented mind set
  • Able to work independently and willingness to travel
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Experience and respect working across different countries, cultures and languages
