bluesign technologies regularly revises limits and usage bans for chemical substances that are published in the bluesign® SYSTEM SUBSTANCES LIST (BSSL) Consumer safety limits .
The 2019 revision considers new scientific knowledge on toxicological profile of substances, revised risk assessments, feedback from product stewardship experts of the Chemical Experts Group, as well as new analytical standards.
The revised BSSL comes into effect from July 1, 2019. It replaces the bluesign® SYSTEM SUBSTANCES LIST (BSSL) Consumer safety limits, version 9 .0 from July 1, 2018. For all bluesign® SYSTEM PARTNERS the implementation of the revised sections, unless stated otherwise, shall take place by July 1, 2020 at the latest. The RSL documents have been revised accordingly. Same changes, if applicable, were applied.
