Singtex Industrial Co., Ltd.

Singtex Industrial recognised the importance of environmental protection from the very beginning. For this reason, when we were planning to build our dyeing mill, we’ve decided to become a bluesign® system partner to fully rely on the expertise of bluesign technologies in this field. For Singtex, there’s much more to textiles than just producing and selling. Besides the comfort that textiles provide, the importance of safety is our concern as well. EHS (Environment, Health, Safety) is not just a slogan we claim, it’s the responsibility everyone should be concerned about and carry on in daily life. As a member of the textile chain, we will do our best in our profession to leave a green and sustainable earth to future generations.

Everest Textile Co., Ltd.

Everest is a vertically integrated eco-conscious textile company, specializing in twisting, weaving, dyeing, finishing, and coating/laminating. We have implemented a number of projects for environmental protection, energy saving and emission reduction. Not only chemical and material issues are regarded, but also biological aspects are included to achieve the goal of "zero pollution waste".
In 2007, Everest partnered with bluesign technologies ag to meet the highest environmental, health and safety requirements for our customers and the environment. Beside the environmental aspects, also the resource analysis, which led to resource and cost saving potentials, proved to be very useful. As a result, we reduced 40% of wastewater emission and 20% of energy consumption in 2007 compared to the previous year. Our customers are impressed by our efforts and glad to have "bluesign® approved fabrics". The bluesign® standard combines eco-friendliness and economic benefits.

Getzner Textil AG

We acknowledge the protection of humans and the environment as well as a sustainable use of resources as an important corporate task. We follow therefore an active environmental policy, which helps us to distinguish ourselves toward our customers and to secure our European production site. The holistic approach of the bluesign® standard provides the necessary security and at the same time indicates new goals.

DI Georg Comploj, Getzner Textil AG, Austria

Eschler Swissknit

The bluesign® standard with its holistic approach and in its requirements consequent and competent is not an additional eco label. To a responsible textile business manager it provides a valid decision making tool which supports the more and more complex and often emotional problems in terms of sustainability and safety aspects of products!

Formosa Taffeta Co., Ltd.

Formosa Taffeta Co., Ltd. (FTC) embraces the policy of respect for life and ecosystem conversation and the social responsibility of the textile industry. FTC's goal is to maximize resource productivity and to ensure that all our production processes use harmless materials from raw materials, dyestuffs and chemicals to finished products in accordance with our non-hazardous philosophy.

FTC became a partner of bluesign technologies ag in March 2001 and introduced the bluesign® standard to the manufacturing of polyester and polyamide fabrics. We are proud of our "bluesign® approved fabric" collection.

Schoeller Textil AG

The bluesign® standard makes ecological and economic sense. By converting production to the bluesign® standard, we reduced CO2 emissions by 900 tons in 2002 compared to the previous year. This is equivalent to the emissions that 180 households generate in one year. We reduced our energy consumption by well over 10 %. We now use 65 % less water for our dyeing processes, even though we already used comparatively little water before the changeover. Plus we get a clean conscience: the bluesign® standard means we can guarantee our customers and consumers that as far as possible we have excluded all chemical substances and processes that are hazardous to people and the environment.

Hans-Jürgen Hübner, CEO Schoeller Textil AG and Initiative Partner of the bluesign® concept
